Between the sea and the dunes, the most open side of Moréias
Stretches of landscape at the far end of the farm, facing the sea.
/// photographed at MoréiasFrom up high, the sea all day long
At the far end of Moréias, closest to Tatajuba, there is a place where the dunes almost touch the sea. In front, a natural coral barrier calms the waves and, at low tide, reveals warm pools of seawater. Behind, the Dune Park and the lagoons. In between, high ground with a view of the sea all day long, where no one sees you.
That is where the Estâncias do Vento are.
An Estância is not a plot. It is a stretch of landscape, from 8,000 m², where each family draws its own relationship with the land: the house, the orchard, the vegetable garden, the trails, the backyard that life by the sea rarely allows.
All with the same assurance as ever: definitive ownership, deed and individual title, inside a farm that preserves its landscapes by conviction and by law.

On the coast of the winds
Fazenda Moréias spans more than 23 million m² on the west coast of Ceará, between Jericoacoara and Camocim, with about 9 km of continuous beach. The Estâncias do Vento occupy the end of the farm facing Tatajuba, 3 to 4 km along the beach from the village, where the dunes come closest to the sea.

The Estâncias within the farm
The Estâncias belong to a larger organism. Moréias is a very low density destination, where each house is a drop of water in the landscape, and where everything collective already exists and works: the Orós Restaurant, the Kite School, the Cajueiro, the pier, the Instituto Moréias.
Life on an Estância is set apart, but never isolated.

E-01 and E-03, side by side
The first two Estâncias open to division lie between the beach and the lagoon, each divided into five stretches from 8,000 m². The design of the stretches follows the design of the land: the eolianite corridors cross the open areas, and the native vegetation remains where it has always been.
Each stretch has its own access through the farm's internal roads; E-01 also has a direct path down to the beach.
Rock formed by the natural cementing of dune sand over thousands of years, a geological heritage that Moréias preserves within the Estâncias.

The scale of a small farmstead
Each stretch has the scale of a small farmstead: four times a Morada lot, almost twenty times a Vilarejo parcel. Within it, its own environmental map defines what is used and what is preserved: the usable area holds the house and the leisure spaces with room to spare; the woods, the dunes and the eolianite remain untouched.
There is no deadline to build. There are guidelines: natural materials, houses that neither block the wind nor light up the night. And the support of those who have already built all of this next door: suppliers, tested off-grid infrastructure, energy from the sun, water that filters through and recharges the water table.
